KYIV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his family earned 15.2 million hryvnias (around US$365,000) last year, the presidential press service said on Sunday citing his assets declaration, reported German news agency (dpa).
Nearly half of the income came from the sale of government bonds, while the remainder included Zelensky's salary, bank interest, and rental income from private real estate.
"The cash balance of the President's family at the end of 2024 remained largely unchanged," the presidential press service said in a statement, though it did not specify the exact amount.
Before taking office, Zelensky was a well-known actor, film producer and screenwriter. Estimates of his total wealth vary, with some sources suggesting he holds several million dollars, but exact figures are not known.
Meanwhile, news agency Unian reported that Zelensky's children, Oleksandra and Kyrylo, remain in Ukraine. Given the demands of his role and the ongoing war, the president said he follows a "5+5 programme" for family time - spending five minutes together in the morning and another five minutes in the evening.
