Address complaints on GST without delay - Muhyiddin

He was commenting on complaints from consumers regarding the GST, which came into force in the country on April 1.
The Customs Department and the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (MDTCC) have been told to look immediately into all complaints from consumers pertaining to the Goods and service Tax
(GST), which entered its fourth day today.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said all complaints from the public should be given due attention as it would smoothen implementation of the new tax system.
This, he said, could be done, including by increasing the number of officers and personnel at the Customs Department and the MDTCC.
"Every complaint from consumers should not be regarded as petty because they are important for us to obtain feedback.
"At the early stage (of implementation of the GST), we know some problems will arise. Complaints from consumers will enable us to iron out these problems," he told when reporters when met at his daughter's wedding reception at Kompleks Seri Pekembar here.
