Ahmad Zahid fetes participants of ASEAN Rides Festival

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi tonight feted participants of the ASEAN Rides Festival to a dinner.

The event, organised by the Superbike Association of Malaysia (SAM) in the compound of the Palace of Justice here, involved 380 high-powered motorcycle riders from Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Timor Leste and Indonesia.

Also present were Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed, Home Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Seri Alwi Ibrahim and SAM president Datuk Abdul Halim Suleiman.

Earlier, Ahmad Zahid, who is SAM executive chairman, called on the foreign participants to help promote Malaysia as an attractive tourist destination when they returned home.

"I hope the experience you get here will be shared with your friends back home," he added.

The ASEAN Rides Festival 2015, which began in Perlis and Johor, will end in Putrajaya tomorrow.
