BMW Group Malaysia today unveiled the new second generation BMW M6 Coupe, a high performance car.
Chief Executive Officer Dr Gerhard Pils said the BMW M6 Coupe epitomises the absolute pinnacle of sports dynamics and style in a package tailored for individuals that are at the very peak of their lives.
He said that following a Malaysian preview of the BMW M6 Coupe at the BMW M Track Experience Asia event held at the Sepang International Circuit earlier this year, customer interest in the car has been highly encouraging.
"I am confident that with its exceptional performance, stunning aesthetics and assuredly BMW efficiency, the new BMW M6 Coupe will prove to be a popular choice in the market, allowing us to further strengthen our presence as Malaysia's best-selling premium automotive brand," he said in a statement.
Featuring a dynamically contoured, lightweight roof made from Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic, which is a unique feature in the segment, BMW engineers were able to reduce overall weight and lower the cars centre of gravity for increased agility.
The car's sports character is further defined with the addition of numerous M-specific design features such as the large air inlets which assist in cooling down its powerful V8 engine, flared wheel arches which give the car an increase of 30 millimetres in width, aerodynamically optimised side sills, M exterior mirrors and the hallmark quad tailpipes which are iconic to the M brand.
The new BMW M6 Coupe will be available for purchase at BMW dealerships throughout Malaysia from tomorrow.
The retail price on-the-road without insurance for the new BMW M6 Coupe is RM988,800.
The BMW Group is one of the most successful manufacturers of automobiles and motorcycles in the world with its BMW, MINI, Husqvarna Motorcycles and Rolls-Royce brands.
As a global company, the BMW Group operates 29 production and assembly facilities in 14 countries and has a global sales network in more than 140 countries.
