MUSLIMS are required to fast during the month of Ramadan from sunrise to sunset.
However, there are exceptions to this and one of them is that people who have medical conditions, such as diabetic patients.
However, if a diabetic person chooses to fast, then he or she must consult a doctor to make sure that they are able to do so.
In this Ramadan special, Cerita Sihat Nisa talks about how and should people with diabetes fast during Ramadan and is the act of fasting could negatively affect their health.
Host Nisa Kasnoon also consults a dietitian to seek tips on how to prepare a quality sahur (pre-dawn meal).
