SINGAPORE'S Changi Airport has revealed the identity of an auxiliary policeman after his photo went viral on social media last week for being "handsome".
According to the airport’s Facebook page, the officer's name is Lee Minwei, 22, who has been working for the airport for seven months.
In the posting, Lee said having his photo going viral on social media was probably the most interesting experience he has had on the job.
"There are times when tourists ask me to take photos with them, but I never expected something like this to happen.
"It was really quite a shock. My friends and family tease me a lot," he said.
Lee also said he enjoyed working at the airport because he gets to learn about security measures.
Lee first garnered attention after a passenger posted his photo on duty on Twitter, which was then shared on lifestyle Facebook page, SGAG.
At Press time, the posting on SGAG had received 21,000 Likes and 9,500 shares.
Similarly, the posting on Changi Airport’s Facebook page also went viral with some 24,000 Likes and 8,500 shares.
