A father decided to ignore all possible criticisms and went on to throw an extravagant birthday party for his daughter.
Thomas J.Henry, a personal injury lawyer from Texas, was unperturbed to spend $6 million (RM24 million) to celebrate his daughter, Maya's 15th birthday.
While netizens slammed the hefty price tag, describing it as 'a total waste', Henry defended his actions.
According to Daily Mail, Henry said the celebration was a symbol of love and a ‘coming of age’ party for Maya.
The bash was held in a purpose-built 55,000 square foot space in San Antonio with 600 guests.
