Easy Taxi is celebrating love in conjunction with this year's Valentine’s Day by giving out a limited number of Hello Kitty soft toys to their passengers.
According to a statement by Easy Taxi, the campaign begins on Monday (February 11) and ends on February 16 or while stocks last.
Passengers will receive a Hello Kitty soft toy each when using the Easy Taxi application on their smartphones during this campaign.
All they have to do is to key in “#EasyKitty” in the destination field in the Easy Taxi Application on their smartphone, and Easy Taxi drivers who respond to the request will then send the Hello Kitty soft toys to the passengers.
“Easy Taxi is happy to celebrate Valentine’s Day with all our passengers in Malaysia with the Easy Kitty campaign, in the spirit of love. Valentine’s Day is a widely celebrated occasion, and what better way is there than to give out the much beloved icon that is Hello Kitty? We hope that those who receive the Hello Kitty soft toys are touched by our little token of love," said Regional Managing Director of Easy Taxi South East Asia (SEA), Joon Chan.
Chan said that the company is delighted to play a role in such romantic atmosphere on Valentine’s Day, and he said the great thing about the campaign is that passengers do not have to actually take a taxi ride in order to receive the soft toy.
“In the event that the drivers are not available to send the Hello Kitty soft toys on that day itself, the drivers will definitely send it over the next day," he added.
Chan also said that the EasyKitty campaign is just another step for them to show their appreciation to loyal passengers, following the overwhelming response towards their #AngPauMe campaign on Chinese New Year.
They also revealed that they have more fun and exciting programmes lined up for the next few months, and reminded people to download the Easy Taxi app on their phones to enjoy those privileges.
Easy Taxi is a free application which began operations in Malaysia in May, 2013 and is widely used in 81 cities spanning 24 countries across the globe.
The Easy Taxi App helps passengers call for a taxi at any time of the day with a single tap on their smartphones.
All taxi drivers are registered and certified with Easy Taxi and once the route is confirmed, passengers will be updated with the taxi driver’s name and picture on their smartphone before each pick-up.
Passengers will also be able to track their taxi in real-time, so they will know when their taxi will be arriving.
