Having sex 11 times a month equals a happy marriage
Research with 400 women shows that there is a big difference with the frequency of sex for the happily married women and the unhappily married women
A research by an American psychotherapist revealed that a happy marriage constitutes the number of times a couple engages in sex and making more time for it, the Business Insider reported.
The finding was revealed in a video, which was published on Business Insider Science segment, produced by Graham Flanagan features licensed psychotherapist and New York Times bestselling author, M. Gary Neuman explaining the science of sex through his findings in an almost 2 minute video.
The research was conducted on 400 women. According to Neuman, there's a stark difference with the frequency of sex for the happily married women and the unhappily married women.
"Believe it or not, it is not about the satisfaction of the sex life, it is about frequency vs. infrequency of the sex life," said Neuman.
The happily married wife engages in sex 11 times a month and the unhappily married ones make love only three to four times a month.
One of Neuman’s statistics also showed that life’s obligations like bills, children, chores and even sleep are the cause for a person to stray away from lovemaking hence a unhappy marriage.
Statistic indicates that the first two years of marriage would normally be a smooth sailing affair for newly-married couples. After the two year mark, things spiral downward and the marriage starts hit rock-bottom.
“All of a sudden, we start to share our lives mainly about other obligations and that just does not land itself towards the happiness and the love that leads to lovemaking,” said Neuman
