Usually a photo of a car decorated with "Hot Wheel" toy cars is only available as a wallpaper, but Datuk Seri Mahadi Badrul Zaman has turned it into a reality.
With a collection of such toy cars since he was young scattered all over the house, the 34-year-old businessman had turned his first car, a Jaguar that he purchased 12 years ago to a car that is glued with more than 4,600 toy cars.
"I like creative ideas. Plus this Jaguar is my first car and has sentimental value to me, so I decided to execute the idea on this car," he told Bernama today.
His creatively decorated car has drawn the attraction of many people who ended up taking photos or "selfies" at various locations that he parked the vehicle including at shopping complexes.
"I feel happy when others are happy. Some even tried stopping me on the road. So far, not many of the cars were missing. Of course I will have to park at a safer spot when I drive this car," the businessman added.
The car decoration took about three weeks to complete with a capital of RM20,000 and toy cars are glued using special glass glue.
Since he started using the car in early January, there had been people approaching him wanting to purchase the unique vehicle.
"(It) never ever crosses my mind that I will sell this car because this was my dream car since I was young," he said.
Asked if he would use the idea on his other cars, Mahadi said not at the moment but he did think of putting the toy cars on his blazers or suits.
"The idea may sound crazy but when we are creative, we will be more positive," he said.
