APART from sharing health and wellness tips for Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan, recipes – especially for sahur – are also currently widely-shared on social media.
This is because we are accustomed to taking simple meals which are filling and provides energy.
Popular this year is the Nabeez drink, which, according to several quarters, drink was the favourite drink of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Even though the recipe is not new, it is only recently that many took notice of its benefits and became popular during this Ramadan.
Its preparation is also simple as all you just need is to infuse three dates in water and let it soak overnight.
You can also infuse the dates in other beverages, such as milk and chocolate.
Not only convenient, the Nabeez drink is nutritious and can prevent your stomach from growling as you fast during the day.
Dates by its very nature is a good energy booster, high in fibre, iron and potassium.
Besides dates, the Nabeez drink can also be made by soaking raisins through the same process.
