Nordstrom mud-smudged jeans priced at a whopping RM2,000. Anyone?

POPULAR retail store Nordstrom created a buzz after selling a muddy jeans for a staggering US$425 (RM1,850).

According to the store’s website, the jeans is designed especially for men who prefer that rugged look.

The much-talked about jeans is a caked-on muddy coating, and not real mud.

Netizens were quick to point that they would rather splash it with real mud for the effect, rather than burning a hole in their pockets.

Last week, French luxury fashion house, Balenciaga whipped out a blue bag for -- a spitting image of that oh-so-reliable IKEA blue shopping oversized. This too, created a social media frenzy, as the brand revealed the tag at US$2,145 (RM9,337.18). In case you're wondering, the IKEA shopping bag is priced at US$0.99 (RM4.31) per piece.

IKEA also took jibe at the brand on social media.
