Brunei citizens now have a new model of Proton car to choose from with the launch of the Malaysian automotive manufacturer’s new family Sedan, the Prevé in the country.
Launched by the Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Datuk Abdullah Sani Omar on Thursday, the sedan is the latest addition to 14 other Proton models already available to Brunei customers.
Proton Holdings Berhad deputy chief executive officer Datuk Lukman Ibrahim said the company have been waiting to introduce this model to its customers in Brunei ever since it was launched in Malaysia in April 2012.
“With the introduction of Prevé in Brunei, Proton reiterates its commitment and determination to strengthen itself as a reputable, trusted and preferred car brand in this region,” he said.
In recent months, Proton has been aggressive in introducing the Prevé to its overseas markets.
In October last year, the company introduced the model to the Australian market and in November last year, the model was introduced in Thailand.
The Prevé comes in variants named the executive and the premium and comes in six colour choices including blue, black, white, red, brown and silver.
It car, which is also Proton’s most technologically advanced, retails at between BND$ 26,900 (RM67,271) to BND$ 32,650 (RM81,651).
