Social media users have many ways to express their grievances towards the ongoing water disruption in the Klang Valley, namely in Selangor.
A majority of users have since urged the Selangor state government to tackle the issue accordingly.
Pertubuhan Martabat Jalinan Muhibbah Malaysia president Datuk Abdul Rani Kulup, however, opted for a rather quirky method to express his gratitude on social media - he uploaded a footage showing him taking a shower.
“Water is back!” he repeatedly said smiling with his trademark sunshades intact while filming the video.
"Keep it up, don’t give up," said Abdul Rani clamouring his notorious tagline.
Most netizens said that Abdul Rani was such a good sport in showing his gratitude that the water supply had been reinstated.
The footage also left a bitter aftertaste among netizens. Some lambasted him for being a tad insensitive for uttering the name of Allah in the shower.
Abdul Rani was quick to react to the criticisms. He returned with an edited version of the video.
“Thank you to those who have criticised. I mentioned the God’s name in the shower … the toilet is a different place,” he said.
Abdul Rani also imparted some advice to his supporters calling out for them to store water for ‘rainy days’.
The video has been viewed over 27,000 times since it was uploaded early Wednesday.
