Felipe Massa was the first sports star to join the Richard Mille team as a spokesperson, and this year the two are celebrating the 10th anniversary of his collaboration with the Swiss watch maker.
Two very limited edition watches are the latest fruits of this decade-long partnership.
For the 10th anniversary of its partnership with the Brazilian F1 driver, the high-tech watch brand is releasing two stunning limited editions: the RM 011 Flyback Chronograph Felipe Massa 10th Anniversary, based on the brand's most iconic and successful model, and the RM 056 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Felipe Massa 10th Anniversary.
The former, a self-winding chronograph with flyback function, has for the occasion been placed in an NTPT Carbon case and mounted on black rubber.
The black skeleton dial is enhanced by a dark blue minutes track and a yellow tachymeter scale, colors that have also been used for the dial's indications and for the outline of the date window designed like racing stripes.
The blue and yellow are also used for the number 19, Felipe's race number, which replaces the usual "12". This anniversary edition will be limited to 100 pieces.
The second special edition, driven by the manually wound RMCC1 caliber featuring a tourbillon escapement and a split-seconds chronograph, will be even more exclusive, limited to only 10 units.
The watch's case is crafted in sapphire crystal, and through the frame, the lucky few will be able to admire almost all of the 500 individual components forming this amazing movement mainly crafted in titanium.
Blue and yellow accents will again adorn the skeleton dial, the blue for the tachymeter scale and yellow for the minutes track paired with red and yellow hands.
Felipe Massa's signature appears as a transfer on the case back of both the RM 011 Flyback Chronograph Felipe Massa 10th Anniversary and the RM 056 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Felipe Massa 10th Anniversary. Price is available solely upon request.
