Teen sisters exceed their RM100 000 target for charity

Two teen sisters who set out to raise RM100 000 for four children’s charity organisations announced that they exceeded their target by raising RM101 000 at the Dance Effect Concert 2013 on 1 Oct , held at The Black Box MAPS, Publika.
Malaysian royal family members, celebrities, philanthropists, corporations and individuals walked down the red carpet to support the concert organised by the Vimal sisters.
Hollywood actress-model, Serinda Swan who arrived in Malaysia last Saturday, shined her spotlight on the sisters and the concert.
International non-profit organisation, Friends to Mankind, decided to support the girls' project and its Founding Ambassador Swan had gone all out to support them.
Swan spent her week by speaking to the media and public to garner support for the noble purpose.
The four beneficiary charities are, Girl Effect foundation, Children's Wish Society, Fugee School and IQ70Plus.
The audiences were entertained with an upbeat modern ballet, Hawaiian hula, Chinese fan dance, Bollywood fusion, tap dance and many more.
There were also a few special numbers by the Sutra Dance Theatre and the Eximius School of performing Arts.
Apshy, 17 and Aishy, 16 seem to have humanitarian work as an integral part of their lives, and stated that they will continue to do more wherever they may be.
The girls are planning to leave to the US for their tertiary education.
