Prynt: the first instant camera case for iPhone and Android - AFP Relax
We all love Polaroid snaps, but these days it seems the only place we see our photos is on our smartphone screens.
That's where "Prynt" comes in -- a fun invention being billed as "the first camera case for iPhone and Android." After slotting your phone into the case, the device lets you snap-and-print, or produce hard copies of your favorite pictures stored on your phone.
The case automatically records a short video every time you pose for a photo, and once the image has been printed, holding your phone over the hard copy of the picture will cause the video clip to play on your screen.
The battery-powered printer doesn't require ink cartridges as the ink is embedded in the paper itself, and works offline. Each case holds 10 sheets of paper and can be refilled.
The dock, which connects to the phone, has been made in different variations and can be easily switched in case you change your phone model at any point.
Prynt is currently listed on crowdfunding website Kickstarter, where it has already reached over 1,800% of its original funding goal. The case is available to pre-order at pledges starting from $49, with shipping expected in July.
