10 nabbed in anti-crime operations in Bukit Mertajam

The police have detained 10 men, including four Indonesian nationals during two separate crime prevention operations in the Seberang Perai Tengah (SPT) district here over the past two days.
SPT district police chief ACP Rusli Mohd Noor said the police inspected several areas, including entertainment centres during the operations from 11.30pm on Saturday to 4pm today.
He said three men were detained at an entertainment centre - one for drug possession and the rest for addiction - while a man, in his 40s, was nabbed for running the entertainment outlet without licence.
At the Juru area here, he said four Indonesians were picked up for failing to furnish travel and identification documents.
Rusli said a 46-year-old man was nabbed under 'Ops Mabuk' for allegedly driving under the influence of liquour in Jalan Song Ban Kheng here early this morning.
He said a 21-year-old motorcyclist was picked up for not having road tax.
