1,000 consumers in Kelantan face water disruption

About 1,000 consumers in three districts namely Machang, Pasir Puteh and Kota Baharu will face water supply disruption as the Water Treatment Plant at Merbau Chondong, Machang stopped operations temporarily today.

Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB) said the disruption was due to electrical maintenance work at the plant from 2pm to 3pm today.

Among the areas affected in the Machang district were Bandar Machang, UiTM Machang, Labok, Padang Selising, Merbau Chondong, Bukit Tiu, Banggol Petai, Kweng Hitam, Pangkal Meleret, Wakaf Bata and Paloh Rawa.

The villages affected in the Pasir Puteh district included Bukit Bidang, Taman Sentosa, Alor Hijau, Jeram, Selising, Dalam Rhu, Tok Bali Bukit Jawa Kedai Mananti, Kampung Berangan and Banggol Telipot, while in the Kota Baharu district the area affected was Kok Lanas.

AKSB advised consumers in the affected areas to store adequate water for the duration.
