11 suspects detained over commotion at Parliament - Police

Police have detained 11 suspects to facilitate investigations into a commotion at the compound of Parliament yesterday.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Amar Singh said the suspects comprised eight men and three women aged between 28 and 54 years.

He said the arrests were made at 10.15am today with one woman suspect who surrendered herself over the incident.

"All of them are being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.

"Police also urged those with information on the incident to contact the Sentul district police headquarters at 03-40482222," he said in a statement today. -- BERNAMA
