14 people hospitalised for drug abuse at concert

A total of 14 people are undergoing treatment for drug abuse while attending the three-day 2014 Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
At the event early Saturday, six locals comprising three men and three women died of what was believed to be drug overdose after complaining of breathing difficulties.
Of the 14 who are undergoing treatment, three were warded at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, one at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre and 10 at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM).
Cheras police chief Mohan Singh Tara Singh described their condition as stable.
He said 29 people of various nationalities were also detained on suspicion of drug-related activities at the concert which began on Thursday.
"Of those detained, 13 are locals. All the suspects have been remanded until Tuesday to facilitate investigations," he said, Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Kamal Zekry Kamal Basha, 22, Victor Wong E. Hern, 26, Sabreena Kamaruddin, 21, M. Suresh, 28, Syazana Sohaime, 23, and Nor Faizza Mohd Wazir, 27.
