Khalid said one of the suspect had admitted of sharing the information on how to proses IED with other militants through Telegram.
Police foiled an Islamic State (IS) attack around Klang Valley with the arrest of 14 suspected IS militants in five states, Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said.
In the Bukit Aman Special Division Counter-Terrorism Unit operation on July 10, police also found one kilogramme of Improvised Explosive Device (IED), which was ready to be used.
Khalid said one of the suspect had admitted of sharing the information on how to process IED with other militants through the Telegram application.
"The suspect claimed to have received orders from Muhammad Wanndy to produce IED for an attack in Klang Valley," he said.
"Muhammad Wandy had also promised to provide him with a gun for self-protection," he said in a statement today.
The latest arrests are following the operation to fight militancy after two militants admitted to carrying out bombing at Movida pub in Puchong.
According to Khalid, the 49-year-old suspect arrested in Kedah is a senior IS or Daish member who recruits members through usrah or religious talks.
On of those recruited was Abu Ghani Yaacob @ Abu Kedah who died in Syria on April 17.
