17 motions for debate at MCA Youth AGM

Seventeen motions would be debated at the MCA Youth annual general meeting (AGM) which is expected to be attended by 1,966 delegates nationwide at Wisma MCA here, Thursday.
MCA Youth chief Datuk Wee Ka Siong said the motions comprised current issues pertaining to the party, politics, economy, public order, education and anti corruption.
"Aside from that, the electricity tariff hike, student admission into the public higher education institutions, investigation procedure on the Auditor General's Report and salary increase for Selangor state assemblymen would also be raised," he said in a media conference after chairing a youth supreme committee meeting at Wisma MCA.
The AGM would be officiated by MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
Wee said of the 1,966 delegates, 567 were women aged below 40: "The number is nearing our target of 30 per cent," he said.
