Director-General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the sudden spike in COVID-19 cases led to the enforcement of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) Order there.
"We found that from the case at City One Tower, there were 17 cases reported that had a relation to the index that attended the tabligh congregation in Sri Petaling Mosque.
"The index case has infected the family members. Most involved are from three apartments, involving a family of 12 members. So, there was a sudden increase in cases in the apartment, our action is to enforce the EMCO in the area," he said in a press conference here Tuesday.
The government on Monday decided to implement the EMCO at the City One Tower in Jalan Munshi Abdullah beginning 12 midnight.
