1MDB: No need to call Mohd Hazem or Zeti - PAC chairman
He said this is because all the issues related to Mohd Hazem while he was the CEO has been answered by 1MDB chairman Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin.
There is no need to call former 1MDB chief executive Mohd Hazem Abdul Rahman and Bank Negara Malaysia governor Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz to appear before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), said its chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin.
He said this is because all the issues related to Mohd Hazem while he was the CEO has been answered by 1MDB chairman Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin during the PC proceeding on Jan 19 and Jan 20.
“I am of the view that as 1MDB chairman, it is his responsibility to know all the details of the company operation. All the details and answers given by the 1MDB chairman is sufficient for the PAC to draw its conclusion over the company’s administration,” he said in a press statement today.

He was commenting on PAC member Tony Pua who had earlier said Mohd Hazem and Zeti must be called to give their statement before the PAC on 1MDB.
He said Pua can bring this matter up in the next PAC meeting and it was up to the other PAC members if they agree to call more people to testify.
“It depends on the committee but what is certain, this will further delay the process and my intention to table the 1MDB report in the coming Parliament session will not take place,” he said.
