The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is urging all quarters including the Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to be patient and wait for the investigation results before making any statements on the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
In a media statement today, it said that the investigation carried out by the Special Task Force team is still ongoing.
“All quarters especially the members of administration including Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin should wait for the outcome of the investigation on 1MDB.
“We should avoid from making statement which can jeopardise the people’s perception towards the country’s leadership, government and UMNO,” said the Prime Minister’s Office.
It added that necessary action has been taken by the government to handle the allegations created by various quarters in regards to the 1MDB issue.
“This includes orders by the Cabinet for a probe to be done by the Auditor General and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). The Fact Sheet on 1MDB has been distributed to all ministers,” it said.
Muhyiddin in his winding-up speech at the Cheras UMNO division delegates meeting last night said that Barisan Nasional will lose should the General Election be held soon.
He also suggested for the 1MDB interim report to be made public so that the rakyat would know what had transpired.
