1MDB probe: PAC verifies discovery of new information

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) today verified the discovery of new information following its probe into 1MDB's audit companies -- Deloitte and KPMG.

Its chairman, Datuk Nur Jazlan said that the committee has decided to summon 1MDB’s former chief-executive officer (CEO) Datuk Shahrul Helmi and its current CEO Arul Kanda, separately on August 4 and 5, respectively.

“We will summon them separately to get a detailed explanation as there are many new developments from the proceedings held upon the 1MDB auditors.

“The Auditor-General will table its report to PAC in connection to 1MDB on July 9,” said Nur Jazlan during a press conference held at the Parliment lobby today.
