UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Irmohizam Ibrahim said any issues regarding state wealth fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and the betterment of the party will be discussed in the UMNO Supreme Council meeting at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) this Friday.
Referring to a statement made by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in his winding-up speech at the Cheras UMNO division delegates meeting last night, Irmohizam said any disclosure of the 1MDB interim report to the public should follow valid procedures.
"The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is still doing their job in investigating the matter. It is not fair if we urge them to make it public at this moment," said Irmohizam at the Aidilfitri open house by Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM) in Puchong today.
At the same event, Muhyiddin also suggested for the 1MDB interim report to be made public so that the rakyat would know what had transpired.
UMNO president, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is also scheduled to hold a closed door meeting together with all division leaders from round the country on Friday before the Supreme Council meeting.
Meanwhile, all UMNO division leaders confirmed receiving the invitation for a meeting with Najib scheduled to be held on July 31.
They said this when contacted by Astro AWANI today.
Sementara itu, ketua-ketua bahagian UMNO yang dihubungi Astro AWANI mengesahkan menerima jemputan mesyuarat bersama Najib yang dijadual berlangsung pada petang 31 Julai ini.
