MARDIN (Turkiye): At least 20 people were killed and 26 injured Saturday in a road accident in southeastern Turkiye, according to the country's interior minister.
Suleyman Soylu arrived in Mardin's Derik district where a truck collided with first responders of another accident involving a truck and two vehicles, reported Anadolu Agency.
Soylu told reporters that the accident is being investigated in all aspects by the prosecutor's office.
He also tweeted that teams were mobilised and the injured were being transported to hospitals.
Earlier, in a statement on Twitter, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said eight of the wounded were critical, adding that all means were being utilised for the treatment of the injured.
