2014 SPM: Social media reacts to examination results
SPM : A total of 455,839 candidates who sat for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) received their much anticipated results earlier today.-ASTRO AWANI/ Shahir Omar
A total of 455,839 candidates who sat for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) received their much anticipated results, earlier today.
The results, however, showed a decrease in the number of students who scored straight As -- a total of 11,289 candidates scored all As compared to 13,970 students in 2013.

Education Ministry director-general Datuk Seri Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof who announced the results today said that the National Average Grade (GPN) used to indicate a candidate’s performance showed that the GPN index for last year is 5.08 compared to 4.93 for 2013, down 0.15.
The social media was abuzz with various reactions following the announcement of the results.
Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak on Twitter congratulated the high achievers and at the same time reminded students to celebrate their success together with their parents and teachers.
