20-day-old baby dies believed to choke on milk
A 20-day-old baby girl is believed to have died after choking on milk at a house in Tanjung Kupang, Iskandar Puteri, yesterday.
JOHOR BAHRU:A 20-day-old baby girl is believed to have died after choking on milk at a house in Tanjung Kupang, Iskandar Puteri near here, yesterday.
Iskandar Puteri district police chief ACP Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the incident, which occurred at about 10 am, was realised by the baby’s adoptive father, a 35-year-old mechanic, who saw her unconscious and contacted the Tanjung Kupang Clinic.
He said a medical staff from the clinic, who arrived at the house, pronounced the baby dead and the body was sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for post mortem.
The police has classified the case as sudden death.
