KUALA LUMPUR:All 21 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders expressed their commitment to work together and support each other in the COVID-19 vaccine.
The matter was stated by Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in a press conference after chairing the APEC Economic Leaders Meeting (AELM) on Friday.
"APEC leaders also acknowledged to meet the needs of those affected by the pandemic and empower the economic sector.
"We are also open to receiving assistance from outside sources beyond APEC in combating this pandemic as well as supporting workers and the sector through the economic recovery process," he said.
He said what is important at this time is to realise a declaration related to efforts to facilitate the movement of basic needs in the APEC region pioneered by Malaysia.
