21 arrested after brawl in Jalan Telawi, Bangsar

Police have arrested 17 men and 4 women believed to be involved in a brawl at a restaurant in Jalan Telawi, Bangsar this morning.
The police in a statement said the incident occurred in front of a banana leaf restaurant at 3.10am.
The brawl involved more than 30 men.
"A Perodua Axia car reversed and nearly hit a Patrol Unit then drove off towards Jalan Ara, Bangsar.
"At the same time, another police unit patrolling around Jalan Ara heading towards Jalan Telawi bumped into the Perodua Axia.
The policemen who were waiting outside the MPV were almost hit.
"As a result of feeling fear and seeing it as a threat, a shot was fired at the vehicle," said the statement.
In addition to the Perodua Axia, police also seized a Perodua Myvi and Toyota Vellfire, believed to be involved in the incident.
Police also seized several items including a helmet, a one-meter iron rod, a paper cutter, baton, a bottle of liquor and a blood-stained jacket.
The case is being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting and Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
