Two hundred and twelve flood victims from 51 households in villages around Simpang Renggam near Kluang are currently staying at six relief centres.
Kluang district officer Mohd Fuad Radzuan said the number has increased from 190 comprising 40 families.
"The centres are Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sri Kencana, Dewan Kampung Paya Palembang, Dewan Kampung Kolam Air, SK Sungai Linau, Balairaya Kampung Seri Maju Jaya and Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Ithnin Maarof," he said when contacted today.
He said Sungai Machap has reached a dangerous level of 7.54 metres, as well as Sungai Benut, at 6.36 metres, while Empangan Machap is on alert status at 16.98 metres.
