241 recommendations proposed in the 2nd series of 2014 Auditor-General Report

AMBRIN: The audits covered the program scope, construction, maintenance, purchasing, revenue management, environmental and company management.
Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang submitted 241 recommendations in the 2nd Series of his report for 2014.
Ninety proposals were for the Federal Government, 56 for federal statutory bodies and 95 for state governments in making improvements and addressing the weaknesses reported.
"The audits covered the program scope, construction, maintenance, purchasing, revenue management, environmental and company management," he said.
The 2nd series of the 2014 Annual Report of the Auditor-General was tabled in Parliament today after receiving the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah.
He said in the 2nd Series Report, 57 performance auditing and 18 management auditing of government companies had been carried out at the federal, state and Federal Statutory Bodies level.
Ambrin said the Finance Ministry had issued a Feedback Report on the 2nd Series of the 2014 Annual Report of the Auditor-General which gave comments and the latest action from the Service Head on the issues reported by the Auditor-General in his annual report.
It also aimed to evaluate to what extent public funds had been spent prudently without any leakage and wastage and receiving the best value for the money spent.

The 1st Series of the 2014 Annual Report of the Auditor-General had been tabled in Parliament on April 6.
