245 flood victims in Sarawak this morning

A total of 245 flood victims from 52 families were sheltered at six evacuation centres in the Kuching and Samarahan Divisions as at 8am today.

Sarawak Civil Defence Department public relations officer, Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim, said in the Kuching Division, the Kampung Paon Community Hall in Sematan was accommodating 60 victims; the Nurul Huda Surau in Lundu (13 victims); Kampung Jangkar Community Hall in Lundu (43 victims) and Ranting Desa Wira PBB Operations Centre had 40 victims.

"Meanwhile, in the Samarahan Division, the relief centre at the Dewan Suarah Samarahan accommodated 80 victims and the Nurul Hadhari evacuation centre sheltered nine victims," she said when contacted by Bernama.
