30 firms to partake in TalentCorp's career fair
Companies such as Astro, Maxis, Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd and KRU Studios as well as the MCMC and Iskandar Regional Development Authority will be participating in the fair.
Some 30 companies will participate in the third Sector Focused Career Fair (SFCF) organised by Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Serdang.
TalentCorp CEO Johan Mahmood Merican said job seekers looking for career opportunities in entertainment and communications should head to the two-day career fair beginning May 27.
He said companies such as Astro, Maxis, Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd and KRU Studios as well as the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Iskandar Regional Development Authority will be participating in SFCF UPM.
"There are great professional opportunities in Malaysia, with more and more Malaysian organisations going regional or international in the entertainment and communications fields.
"Unfortunately, many Malaysians still lack awareness of the opportunities in these growing sectors. The SFCF enables us to increase graduates' awareness of the many exciting professional opportunities at home and link them to employers," he said in a statement.
Johan said visitors to the SFCF UPM will be able to interact with prominent industry leaders and leading employers through Career Talks and Couch Corners.
The event is open to the public and admission is free.
