30 people nabbed at wild party in Genting Sempah

KUANTAN: Police arrested 30 individuals including a foreigner who were allegedly having a wild party including taking drugs, in a raid on a bungalow in Genting Sempah, Bukit Tinggi, Bentong about 217 kilometres from here, early, today.
Bentong district police chief, Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar said they were aged between 20 and 35 years and comprising 17 men and 13 women who were arrested at about 4.45 am.
He said further investigation found methamphetamine, ketamine and cannabis estimated to be worth RM3,750.
"The preliminary urine screening on all the suspects found that 25 of them were positive for methamphetamine while one was positive for ketamine," he said when contacted, here, today.
All the suspects are being remanded for seven days from today and the investigation will be conducted under Section 39B, Section 39A (1), Section 12 (2), Section 6 and Section 15 (1) (a ) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and Section 15 (1) (c) of the Immigration Act.
Zaiham said 29 suspects were also charged under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 where they had to pay a compound of RM1,000 each.
