31,230 civil servants face disciplinary actions from 2010 to July 2016
Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said says, from the total 31,230 civil servants with disciplinary actions, 2,369 had their salary halted and would not be considered for promotion for 30 months. - Filepic
A total of 31,230 civil servants had disciplinary actions taken against them between 2010 and July, this year.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said from the total, 5,778 had their services terminated.
"Another 152 were demoted and would not be considered for promotion for 48 months, while 1,168 had their salary cut and would not be considered for promotion for 36 months," she said in reply to a question from Er Teck Hwa (DAP-Bakri) in the Dewan Rakyat, today.
Azalina also said that from the total, 2,369 civil servants had their salary increment halted and would not be considered for promotion for 30 months.
Another 4,295 were fined seven days of their emolument and would not be considered for promotion for 18 months.
