KUALA LUMPUR:A total of 33 individuals who tried to cross the state or district without permission were among 381 individuals arrested for disobeying the order of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
Senior Minister (Defence Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said among others detained were 96 entertainment centre patrons, did not wear face masks (80 individuals), failed to comply with physical distancing instructions (69 individuals), failed to provide equipment to record customer details (57 individuals) etc. (46 individuals).
"Of the 381 individuals detained, police issued a compound on 377 people while four others were remanded," he said in a statement here on Sunday.
Ismail Sabri said the enforcement team also monitored 987 land transport terminals, 268 water transport terminals and 115 air transport terminals.
In the meantime, he added, 2,569 compliance teams involving 12,387 members have conducted monitoring at 3,617 supermarkets, restaurants (4,858), hawkers (1,637), factories (1,224), banks (3,356) and government offices (471).
From July 24 to November 21, he said, a total of 72,182 individuals had returned home through the international border entrance.
"Of that number, 9,855 individuals are undergoing compulsory quarantine while another 404 individuals are sent to hospital for treatment," he said.
