455 individuals nabbed for disobeying MCO - Ismail Sabri

KUALA LUMPUR:A total of 455 individuals were arrested for disobeying the Movement Control Order (MCO) yesterday and out of that number 427 individuals were compounded.
Senior Minister (Defence Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said out of the total, 427 individuals were compounded, 27 remanded and one was bailed after disobeying the MCO's instructions.
"Among the offences of disobeying the MCO include failing to comply with physical distancing instructions (206) and entertainment centre activities (72).
"Besides that, other offences are not wearing face masks (63), failing to provide equipment to record customer details (59), cross state/district EMCO without permission (21) and others (34)," he said in a statement here, on Saturday.
In the meantime, he said, Op Benteng managed to detain 28 illegal immigrants (PATI) who tried to enter the country's borders.
"A total of 306 roadblocks under Op Benteng were carried out yesterday involving ATM (242), PDRM (54) and AKSEM (10)," he said.
He added that 404 individuals have been sent to the hospital while 10,396 individuals were undergoing compulsory quarantine.
"From July 24 to November 20, 2020, a total of 72,062 individuals have returned to the country through international border entrances and all have been housed in 72 hotels and 19 public training institutes (ILA) as well as private learning institutions.
"It is located in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Johor, Sarawak, Kelantan, Perak, Kedah, Perlis, Terengganu, Sabah and Labuan. A total of 61,262 individuals have been allowed to return," he said.
He added that KPDNHEP enforcement officers have also made 654 daily monitoring on 12 types of supply of goods including retailers (483), wholesalers (140) and manufacturers (31).
