46 people evacuated due to floods in Rompin
Floods forced 46 people from Kampung Rantau Panjang to be evacuated to a flood relief centre at the Leban Condong Multi Purpose Hall in Rompin.
Rompin deputy police chief ASP Zainor Mujahidin Mat Yudin said the flood victims comprised members of 14 families in Kampung Rantau Panjang, after their houses were flooded.
"Heavy rain over the past few days caused floods in their area," he said.
He also urged people living in flood prone areas to be cautious and be ready for evacuation if water level starts to rise.
