A total of 478,848 candidates will sit for the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination this year, to be held from Sept 10 to 12 at 8,268 centres nationwide.
A statement issued by the Education Ministry's Examination Board today said 469,882 of the total candidates are from government and government-aided schools and 8,966 are candidates from Malay medium private schools.
"A total of 49,117 invigilators have been appointed and candidates are reminded to refer to their examination timetable for information on the time of the examination, as well as for other instructions," it said.
The examination timetable has been distributed to schools and can also be downloaded from the website http://www.moe.gov.my/lp.
"Candidates are reminded to bring along their identify cards to the examination centres," it added.
