KUALA TERENGGANU:Terengganu State Health Department (JKNT) has confirmed that there is a COVID-19 infection among health workers at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ).
Its director Dr Nor Azimi Yunus said until Friday, a total of 48 health workers were detected infected with COVID-19.
He said all of them had been separated and given treatment, while close contacts for the case had been screened and separated.
Dr Nor Azimi explained that his party is conducting further investigations to identify the cause of the infection.
He said the management of patient treatment at HSNZ is still ongoing and is under control.
In addition, intensive care services (ICUs), operating rooms and emergency services are still running.
However, to reduce disruption to existing services, services for the treatment of minor cases in the HSNZ Emergency and Trauma Department were temporarily closed starting January 29, 2021.
Members of the public who wish to seek treatment for mild cases (green zone) can still seek treatment at the HSNZ Outpatient Department or nearby health clinics.
