493 SOP violators arrested among focus of Ismail Sabri's media statement

Ismail Sabri said 13,998 foreigners have undergone the COVID-19 screening test and out of that number, 52 were found positive.
KUALA LUMPUR : A total of 493 individuals were detained for violating the Movement Control Order (MCO) standard operating procedure (SOP), 484 of whom were compounded while nine others were remanded.
The following is the focus of the media statement by Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, on Sunday (21 February 2021):
1) Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will be implemented in hostels, factories and construction sites of Central Medicare, Hilir Perak, from February 22 to March 7, 2021.
2) EMCO at Taiping Prison and staff quarters, Taiping, will be terminated tomorrow (Monday, February 22), as scheduled.
3) A total of 13,998 foreigners have undergone the COVID-19 screening test and out of that number, 52 were found positive.
4) Cumulatively, 426,923 foreign workers have undergone the COVID-19 screening tests.
5) Of these, 7,778 foreign workers were confirmed positive while another 419,145 were negative.
