5 key facts from the press conference of the Minister of Education
This will involve 500,444 students from 2,440 schools nationwide.
The opening of schools for public examination classes, namely SPM, SVM, STPM and STAM, as well as the equivalent international examinations nationwide is on June 24, 2020 according to Senior Minister of Education, Dr Radzi Md Jidin.
This will involve 500,444 students from 2,440 schools nationwide.
The following are the new normal that students, teachers and administrators must practise when the school session begins:
1. Body temperature checks must be done on the students. Students who have a body temperature above 37.5 Celsius or symptoms will not be allowed to enter the school area.
2. Tables in the classrooms are arranged at a distance of one meter with a maximum capacity of not more than 20 students.
3. Recess must be in stages. Food and beverages will be readily packed, students will need to line up for social distancing and eat in the classrooms under the supervision of teachers.
4. Off-the-classroom activities and face-to-face co-curricular activities, as well as school assemblies, are not implemented until a later date.
5. Beds in hostel dormitories are arranged 1 meter apart.
