About 50 residents and Rukun Tetangga (RT) sector representatives from Taman Seri Pristana gathered in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Pristana in Saujana Utama, Sungai Buloh, on Wednesday to express support for the principal of the school.
Taman Seri Pristana RT sector chairman Sulaiman Rejab, 57, said they and they and the Taman Seri Pristana Umno branch would defend the position of the school principal, Mohd Nasir Mohd Noor, 57, to continue serving the school.
He said the school which was opened in July 2010, was tops in Kuala Selangor in the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) in 2011 under the leadership of Mohd Nasir.
"In the three years he helmed the school, many successes and excellence had been achieved," he said when met by Bernama.
Mohd Nasir is now on leave after being told to rest temporarily to diffuse the situation following the issue of a changing room at the school used as a temporary canteen for 28 non-Muslim pupils during Ramadan as the school canteen is undergoing renovation.
