PUTRAJAYA: The Putrajaya district police headquarters has issued 54 compound since implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0 last May 12.
Putrajaya district police chief ACP Mohd Fadzil Ali said 39 of the compounds were issued to individuals who flouted regulations on inter-state and inter-district travel as well as the quarantine order.
"An individual was compounded for organising an activity that involved a large number of people which made physical distancing difficult.
"A total of 14 individuals were compounded for not wearing the face mask and failing to register their entry at premises using the MySejahtera QR Code," he told reporters after observing the public's compliance on the standard operating procedures to curb the spread of COVID-19 at Jalan Diplomatik Precinct 15 here last night.
Mohd Fadzil said the police patrol in Putrajaya on the SOP compliance would focus on business premises and shopping centres which should cease operation by 8 pm.
He said public compliance with the SOP in Putrajaya was satisfactory.
On the increase in daily COVID-19 cases in the federal government's administrative centre, Mohd Fadzil said most of the civil servants working in Putrajaya are residing in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan.
"This causes movement of people who have to commute for official business, " he added.
