Fans of fast and modded cars around the region are in for a treat as the annual Auto-City Carnival rolls into Juru this Friday the 5th to Sunday the 7th June, from 4pm till late. Over the course of three days, the organisers have lined up an exciting mix of activities and attractions, something for every man, woman and child.
Owners of beautifully modded cars will be able to pit their prized rides against each other for one of the titles offered including “SUPER GT Car Look Alike Contest”, “Proton Standard”, “Open Standard”, “Open Extreme”, “Compact VIP”, “Open VIP”, “K-Car Standard”, “K-Car Extreme”, and “Best Audio Car”.
If you are into smart phones, Chinese electronics giant Oppo, will be setting shop at the Carnival but it won’t be just any shop, but a head turning Mega Truck as part of their “Turn Over Tour”. This awesome truck transforms into a six metre tall fun house and visitors stand a chance to take home RM200,000 worth of prizes and goodies from Oppo.
If drifting is your thing, then you’ll be happy to note that Toyota will be putting up quite a spectacular show using some of their latest cars. Then, head over to the Toyota Mini Showroom and participate in the Lucky Draw.
The coveted “Miss Auto-City” crown will once again be hotly contested and this year, ladies have yet another pageant title to vie for which is theAuto-City Party Queen Make Up Contest. As for kids, it’s time to show off your art skills in the McDonald’s Children Colouring Contest.
Finally, on Sunday evening, the Carnival will reach a climax with the announcement of winners for the various car categories, pageants and contests. This party will definitely not go out without a bang and thanks to the Beauties Parade which is happening on Sunday at 7pm, a bang it will have, with mascots, school bands, Miss Auto-City contestants, Party Queens, beautiful cars and even clowns are in a merry parade around Auto-City Square will make this a moment to remember.
