KOTA KINABALU: Sixty-nine flood victims from 19 families are still at two relief centres (PPS) in Sabah as of this morning.
The Sabah Disaster Management Secretariat, in a statement today, said 33 flood victims from 10 families are at the PPS at Dewan Mini Mesapol in Sipitang, while 36 others, involving nine families, are at the PPS at Dewan Sekolah Kebangsaan Tamau, in Kota Belud.
"The water level in the rivers in Kota Belud is rising, so preparations are being made to open a new PPS, should the need arises. Monitoring is being done in the flood hotspot areas," it said.
As of today, 39 areas in Kota Belud and 10 areas in Sipitang are still affected by floods.
